  • 3rd Period Bruins

Any predictions for the 3rd period?

I’m expecting them to keep fighting and not give up. The B’s are one of the most resilient team in the NHL.

  • Marchand Penalty

The crosschecked just called on Marchand was ridiculous. It was barley a penalty and now we are on a 5-on-3 penalty kill.

*-Lucic’s was definitely a high stick to the face. (Other penalty)

  • 3rd Period Bruins vs. Rangers

Bruins need to score period. Where is their offense? I mean yes their getting the shots but we need the fast paced drives and great chances that the Rangers are making for themselves. We need to make plays and make clean passes.

The B’s need to fight for everything. If they just put the effortin for the rest of the game, kill the penalty, and reduce turnovers this game will be better. Although it is a very interesting game to watch besides the score.

Anton Khudobin (pictured making one of 25 saves in the Bruins’ 3-1 win over Buffalo on February 10) & Tuukka Rask are quickly proving to be one of best goaltending tandems in the league. Read a BostonBruins.com feature on the goaltending duo by clicking here.

  • Bruins vs. Buffalo

The Bruins powerplay is in need of some help. They went 1-5 on it thanks to Patrice Bergeron. They also had great changes on a 3 on 5, which killed the Bruins last time these two teams met. No goals and barley any shots. Tyler Seguin should’ve been out there. Yeah, guess how much ice time he got? None. Surprised, you should be. Okay maybe he hasnt been playing like the player we know he is, but I mean he needs a chance. Mainly, there was so much room out there on the PP. Being over seas might have hurt him, but not in this situation. Over in the Swiss league there is a lot less contact than the NHL and Seguin was scoring like a goal per game. Yep. He had room and was scoring like crazy. That was the time Julien needed to put him out. He is your best offensive player. Put him out there.

Ryan Miller played a solid game but im tired of hearing how he kept the game tied and blah blah blah. Dont get me wrong if the Sabres didnt have him in net, they would be in trouble. Their defense is not good at all. Give Khudobin some credit. He didnt face as tough shots but I still dont need to hear howMiller is amazing and a Venezia winer.

Vanek was nothing last night. The “bruins killer”. He had one shot in 15:23 minutes of ice time.

Overall I think the bruins played a good game against Buffalo, but there are still lots to improve on. Brad Marchand came out from being injured the last game to putting the Bruins on the board first, followed by a powerplay goal from Patrice Bergeron and an empty netter from Milan Lucic.
